The Overture Project
 

Raymond Wu is an experienced and passionate violinist who is committed to making music education accessible to all. He currently serves as the Assistant Concertmaster of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra and is a scholarship recipient of the Settlement Music School's Advanced Study Program, performing in a string quartet coached by a Philadelphia Orchestra violinist. Previously, he served as Associate Concertmaster of the Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra, Assistant Concertmaster of the Young Musicians Debut Orchestra, and Concertmaster of the Pennsylvania Youth Orchestra and 50th Annual Schuylkill Valley Area Orchestra. Raymond received first prize in his age division at the Philadelphia International Music Festival’s concerto competition, junior strings and junior ensemble at the Tri-County Youth Festival, and performed as violin soloist with the Warminster Symphony Orchestra and Ambler Symphony Orchestra. In the summer of 2025, he was accepted into Carnegie Hall’s National Youth Orchestra NYO2 summer program and performed in Carnegie Hall and the Edinburgh International Festival. 

Jayson is a dedicated violinist with experience performing in both youth and community ensembles. He is a member of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra and serves as concertmaster of the Antioch Church of Philadelphia Orchestra. During his freshman year at Conestoga High School, he also served as Principal Second Violin in the renowned Conestoga High School Symphony Orchestra. Through his musical work, Jayson has developed a strong foundation in ensemble leadership, orchestral playing, and musical collaboration. He continues to grow as a violinist through performance and service in both school, church, and extracurricular music communities.

Elizabeth is a sophomore pianist at Conestoga High School with a passion for teaching others. She has played violin and piano for ten years. She began lessons with her mother, and music has since continued to play a fundamental role in her life. Currently, she participates in the Conestoga High School Symphony orchestra and actively contributes to Music Angels, an organization dedicated to music therapy. She also enjoys spreading the joy of music through playing piano at retirement homes.  

Tudor Rosca is a passionate violist and sophomore at Conestoga High School. He has been playing viola for six years and currently studies under John Sergovic at the Bryn Mawr Conservatory of Music. Tudor performs with the Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra and serves as Principal Viola in the Conestoga High School Symphony Orchestra. He has also participated in the Young Musicians Orchestra and was selected as Assistant Principal Viola for the Schuylkill Valley Area Orchestra’s invitational ensemble. Through his orchestral and solo experience, Tudor has performed at the Kimmel Center, including multiple performances in the Perelman Theater and a performance in Mary Anderson Hall. He has also performed solo works at the Bryn Mawr Conservatory of Music. Music has played a significant role in Tudor’s life since he began attending the Kimberton Strings instrumental music camp in fourth grade as its youngest member. After continuing with the camp throughout his musical development, he began teaching there in the summer of 2026. Tudor enjoys sharing his experience with younger musicians and helping students build both their musical skills and their appreciation for playing an instrument.
